Thursday, 2nd September 2010 Jamie's Italian, Canary Wharf Knightbridge Canarywharf image from www.flickr.com 7 Days | Angles | Technique Thursday I had two goals today, when I went out shooting after work; the first was of course to play with a new lens, and the second was to break the rules of angles week. I personally like most of my photos to be fairly straight, so to cover the theme I'm using these great shadows. Techniques: The shadows weren't really as punchy as I would have liked them to be, so after a lot of playing around with the colour version I flicked to black and white which is fairly rare for me; I then ramped up the blacks and upped the exposure to compensate. Other than that, it's slightly cropped, with the highlight/light tones increased, and the dark/shadow tones decreased. I do hope it's not too dark, my laptop monitor is rather bright and I find it difficult to get it right for everyone elses viewing.
